Tis I, Sofia!

Over ten years as an artist, I took ideas from sketch to finished product — refining the process each repeated time and learning what worked and what didn't. When I started looking into UX, I realized it was the same process I'd already been running for a decade: understand the problem, sketch out solutions, test them, revise, repeat. That overlap is what convinced me this was the right field for me.

When I’m not working, you can find me knitting, partaking in a slew of DIY projects, playing tennis, or learning how to master figure skating!

I'm a self taught stained glass artist! I started in my home during the lockdown in 2020 and have created and sold pieces ever since.

Waxed Canvas

When I was a bike courier, I needed a backpack that was waterproof, durable, spacious, earth-friendly, and colorful.
It took me about 6 months of prototyping and testing to figure out the type of fabric, drafting the patterns, seam finishes, hardware, dye, and coating to create what was desired.

After figuring out the materials and moving on from bike courier work, I decided to stick with creating bags and accessories.
All bags started off with unbleached duck canvas fabric and turned into:
